چکیده

Introduction. Evidence now indicates that inflammation contributes considerably to the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis an active inflammatory processes may trigger plaque rupture enhance risk coronary thrombosis leading a clinical ischemic event. The purpose this study was evaluate white blood cells ratios in patients with ACS association arterial hypertension 2 type Diabetes Mellitus.
Material Methods. In observational cohort trial we observed 184 ACS. All were randomized into four groups: 1st group - 42 without AH or DM; 2nd – 56 previous AH; 3rd 4th 44 DM. We studied leukocytes count their subpopulation ratios: neutrophils lymphocytes ratio (NLR), monocytes (NMR), lymphocytes+monocytes (N/LMR), (NMR).
Results. mean significant higher ASC, compared control (p<0.001). elevated NMR NLR observed: 15.04±1.28 vs 11.09±0.43 (p<0.05), 3.34±0.20 2.60±0.06 respectively. No differences between WBC revealed and/or DM.
Conclusion. is characterized raised which could be indicators poor prognosis.

Association between blood glucose variability and coronary plaque instability in patients with acute coronary syndromes

BACKGROUND Blood glucose variability is receiving considerable attention as a new risk factor for coronary artery disease. This study aimed to investigate the association between blood glucose variability and coronary plaque tissue characteristics. METHODS In 57 patients with acute coronary syndrome, integrated backscatter intravascular ultrasound (IB-IVUS) and gray-scale IVUS were performed ...

Safety and Efficacy of Bivalirudin Monotherapy in Patients With Diabetes Mellitus and Acute Coronary Syndromes

Background In the ACUITY trial, 13,819 patients with moderateor high-risk acute coronary syndromes (ACS) were randomized to heparin (unfractionated or enoxaparin) plus glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibition (GPI), bivalirudin plus GPI, or bivalirudin monotherapy. Compared with heparin plus GPI, bivalirudin monotherapy resulted in similar protection from ischemic events with less major bleeding. Wheth...
